As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

Exercises focus on building strength and flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, balance, and speed. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and learning tap vocabulary, as well as tap history all while having fun! As students progress through each level, the course work will build in speed, intricacy, and athleticism.
Broadway Tap & Theater Jazz

Each class includes barre exercises (or floor barre exercises for younger students), center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. Students will focus on building the strength, balance, flexibility and control needed properly execute ballet vocabulary.  Ballet is the foundation for several other dance forms including Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary dance.
Tumbling
Tumbling is a form of gymnastics done solely on the floor, without props or equipment. Dancers can expect a proper warm up and flexibility training with upper and lower body conditioning.  Common moves performed in tumbling include cartwheels, somersaults, tucks, handstands and handsprings.
Hip Hop
Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves so students can expect upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.  Hip Hop is a choreography driven class so each class will focus on remembering a series of movements.  Length, speed, and complexity of the choreography will increase as the class progresses.
Modern
Modern dance vocabulary is similar to ballet but with very distinct differences. For example, classical ballet dancers strive to be light and airy on their feet, modern dancers often use their body weight and gravity to enhance movement. Modern dance classes will incorporate many of the foundations of modern dance technique, including suspension and release, fall and recovery, the use of momentum and connecting breath with movement. Dancers will explore new ways of moving in combinations, floor work and partnering, and also in various methods of improvisation.  Modern dance is traditionally performed barefoot.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a fusion of Ballet, Jazz, and Modern Dance and each class will vary depending on the instructor’s own individual style and training.  This is a choreography based class.  Dancers can expect a proper warm up and stretch at the beginning of class and then a combo or progression.  Dancers are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone and incorporate their own energy into the movement.  This is not an entry level class as the terminology used is primarily ballet and modern based.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance.  Characteristically, Lyrical dance is danced to the lyrics of the song in order to express the words with the body’s movement. This choreography driven class is typically seen as flowy and graceful with a lot of emotion driving the movement. This is not an entry level class as the dancer needs to be familiar with ballet terminology.
