The Danswest Winter Showcase
It’s 2 shows in one and a sheer delight for the whole family. Make this your new holiday tradition!
Act 1: Danswest’s very own Nutcracker. Traditionally an all-ballet production, Danswest owner, Megan Maltos, wrote her own unconventional story in hopes of bringing the magic of the Nutcracker to all of her students… even the ones that may not study ballet yet.
Not Your Ordinary Nut(cracker) follows a weary dance dad who has seen his daughter perform the Nutcracker one too many times. After falling asleep on the couch, the Sugar Plum Fairy transports him to a dream world of what might be if he doesn’t come to the show this year. What is he going to do? Will he go to the performance or will he stay home to host Sunday night football with his pals? This fast-paced-one-act features all styles of dance from tap to hip hop and is something for the whole family to enjoy.
Act 2: The Danswest Winter Showcase. A lively winter themed collection of dances designed to highlight the talents of our newest dancers. Featuring a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop. The performance offers a charming blend of choreography that showcases the students’ hard work and progress throughout the season.

4th Avenue Street Fair
Danswest has performed at the 4th avenue street fair for over 30 years and we love to bring dance to the community. Stop by the stage at 7th Near Hoff on Sunday, December15th for some sweet holiday sounds. Free to all!
